MY JOURNEY... SO FAR

2024 has been a spectacular year in my young career as a professional javelin thrower. I managed to improve my personal record by almost five meters, placing myself among the top 30 throwers in the world, with a record of 82.90 meters. I am convinced that I can throw over 90 meters in the following years, and beat the North American record. My goal is to win the gold medal in LA 2028 and represent the USA. With the necessary support, I am sure I can achieve it.

MY MISSION

Inspiring kids to do sports and to have a good life.

I want to inspire kids to have discipline, fight through adversity, and achieve their goals despite unfortunate circumstances.

Having grown up without supportive parents, my grandparents were essential in shaping my belief system. Without them, I would not have the fundamental values that have paved the road to my success in the sport as well as outside of it. My mission is to be able to transmit this energy to children and young people and make them believe that they can achieve everything in life if they work hard. I want to become a spokesperson and role model for children and young people who have aspirations of becoming the best versions of themselves through hard work and discipline.

2013: Football was my primary sport. In the offseason, I decided to compete in track and field which is where I discovered the javelin for the first time when I was 15 years old and a sophomore in highschool.

2014: Improving my personal record from 167ft my Sophomore year to 183ft my Junior year, I started to see how much I could progress with more training and focus in the event of javelin throwing. I qualified for the 5A State Championships my Jr. year.

2015: With no offers in football my Sr. year, receiving a scholarship for track and field was my last hope. By calling different schools, I got ahold of McNeese State University and earned a scholarship by placing 2nd at State, throwing 184ft and becoming the first person in my family to go to college.

2016: Now in college with a javelin coach for the first time, I improved from 184ft in highschool to 220ft (67m) my freshmen year. With this distance I was top 3 in the U.S. for under 20 year old javelin throwers.

2017: Battling through injuries my Sophomore year, I managed to throw 229ft (69m) and made a lot of good improvements.

2018: I tore my UCL this year and underwent Tommy John’s surgery by one of the best surgeons in the world for this operation, Thomas L. Mehlhoff, M.D. the Houston Astros team Doctor.

2019: Recovering from surgery, the coaches from McNeese purchased some of Tom Petranoff’s turbo javelins to help me get back to throwing. Little did I know, he would end up becoming my coach in the years to come.

2020: Finally recovered and healthy to compete again, unfortunately COVID-19 cancelled my Sr. Year and the world stopped.

2021: Now graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, I returned to complete my last year of eligibility throwing a new PR of 246ft (75.05m) setting a new school record, becoming a D1 All-American and qualifying for the Olympic Trials.

2022: Training down in Birmingham AL, I improved my PR to 258ft. (78.67m) becoming ranked 48th in the world and competing for the first time internationally.

2023: Injuries caused me to pull out of the season halfway through and make a change of coaches, leading me to Clermont, FL to train with Tom Petranoff.

2024: # 30 IN THE WORLD. 3RD. AT US TRIALS. PR 82.90 M

This year was like reaching the starting line. I finished ranked among the top 30 throwers in the world with a PR of 82.90m (271ft.) I was short of the Paris 2024 Olympics, but I believe that I will continue to improve and bring medals back home from major championship meets for the years to come.
